Aemstelgroep dentists is a people-oriented, professional team of dentists, dental hygienists and specialists. We have over 30 years of experience and have 3 offices in Amstelveen and Amsterdam. Apart from general dentistry we are specialised in endodontics, implants, cosmetic dentistry, oral hygiene, child dentistry and treating patients with a fear of dentists. We can also perform most surgical procedures.
First visit
Before your first visit we kindly ask you to fill in a form. Here you can provide us your personal details, special circumstances and medical records. It is important that you have the correct names of any medication that you might be taking. All personal information is confidential and will be handled with care.
During the first visit we would like to get to know you, hear your dental wishes and complaints, discuss the form with you and perform an extensive dental examination. This will also require taking x-ray images. In some cases a dental imprint or gum check is needed.
Based on this information we will discuss the current condition of your teeth and set up a treatment plan with you. In cases of extensive treatment we will always discuss a cost estimate and time frame.
Prevention
Prevention is key in our practices. A lot of dental problems can be prevented by sufficient oral hygiene. That is why it is important to have your teeth checked regularly and detect problems in an early stage.
In most cases a checkup every 6 months is sufficient, but this frequency can be adjusted after consultation. Less than 1 checkup a year is generally considered irresponsible . All registered patients will receive an invitation for the periodical check-up. You can then call us to reserve time for the appointment at the time suitable for you.
